Introducing Erik!

First priority? Dinner of course!

I barely recognized the kid with tentative eating habits I'd known as he confidently tried every dish recommended.

The Thai style steamed fish with limes, cilantro and Thai chilies was particularly good at our next door Chinese restaurant.

Afterward, a good walk around our new neighborhood. It's insanely alive - even at midnight on a Thursday!

We're both so excited to be here and have this opportunity of a lifetime to spend time together.

And we're planning on taking in every detail this journey offers!

It was great to have Erik arrive on Thursday night after a pretty straightforward trek from Singapore.

  1. Looks like you have an excellent traveling companion, Peter!

Your dinner looks delicious. I'm not sure what it's called in Thailand, but the green vegetable dish ("kangkung" in Bahasa Indonesia) is one of my all time favorites, especially when it's prepared with lots of chilis.

And yes: Erik's been a pleasure to travel with.
